2022 Summer Fashion Trends

More and more in the 2020s, we’re seeing a spike in fashion inspired by the decades. You’ll notice a vintage flair from the 60s and 70s, the glamor of the 80s, and the Gen-Z revitalized love of the 90s and 00s. 

1960s Inspired Summer Fashion Trends

Is that hippy vibe calling your name? Boost your closet with the latest 2022 trends from the 1960s. Silk scarves are hot, as well as fringe. In fact, if you’re wearing fringe- don’t hold back. We’ve seen fringe on skirt hemlines, purses, and even earrings. 

The preppy, back-to-school look is here, too, even though it’s only summer. Consider fitted sweaters and khaki pants to achieve this look on a cooler day.

In addition, matching sets are in. Of course, in the 60s, matching sets were typically a fitted skirt with a smart jacket. Today, we’re seeing colored suits that match in solid color. 

Platform Shoes

Take your time machine to the 1970s for our next summer 2022 trend. Platform shoes are back, and with force. Choose your platform heels for day or night. Boots, sandals, and more are all fair game for this classic rewind in footwear.

1980s Inspo

When it comes to accessories, think of the 1980s. Jewelry was big, and made a statement. Moreover, there was no lack of sequins, glitter, and beading. While these looks never truly went away for the evening, we’re seeing it blossom during the daytime, too.

Y2K Is Back

The late 90s and early 00s were all about crop tops, midriffs, and mini-skirts. In 2022, these are making a comeback, too. If mini-skirts aren’t your thing, err on the side of the other extreme. Instead, reach for a maxi dress, and avoid hemlines in the awkward middle. 

Cutouts are the 2022 spin on crop tops. We’re loving these looks, especially in the heat of a Las Vegas summer.
